Jerivalu is right, I had the realtek drivers already installed in Win 10 and after getting OS X installed on new GA-Z170X-UD5 TH, had sound in OS X until I booted into Win 10. Sound worked in Win 10, but didn't when I went back to OS X. Went back, uninstalled realtek drivers and let Win install...
I deleted all partitions on the drive and let Win 10 make what it wanted. After Win 10 finished everything, updates and all, I shut it down and reconnected the OS X drives and it has been fine ever since.

Personally I plan on getting Thunderbolt external drives in the near future, that's why I chose it over the GA-Z170X-UD5. You can go to Gigabyte's site and do a comparison on the 2 MB's, there are a few difference's, IMHO the guide should work on the GA-Z170X-UD5.
