It isn't that it know that it's not a "real Mac", It's just that it can't find the ROM firmware. PCs have BIOS instead of 'Recovery HD', firmware ROM ect. So the Hackintosh sees the BIOS instead and because it's different than ROM firmware, the operating system just thinks that it's out of date.

Sorry for such a late reply but i had the same problem, and succeeded at installing Mavericks 10.9 but i had to take out my Graphics Card and it should work without it :( Other than this it works and i hope they will ever support the GeForce 7800GT and the GeForce 9600GT too. P.S. Try this 2...
