I believe you can get the CPU working, but the HD2500 integrated graphics are not compatible if i remember correctly. You will likely have to get yourself a cheap nvidia card to get video working
I replaced the wifi and have everything working besides the cardreader. I don't use USB 3.0 drivers which I think caused some issues with sleep.
I've got this thing upgraded to 16gb memory with a 128gb SSD and it is more or less the best hackintosh I've ever owned, with my close second being...
from what i've read from other posts by rehabman, this is an issue of USB drivers (bluetooth controller does not show under USB controller) as I had to fool with the usB drivers to get sleep working correctly. I don't use bluetooth all that much so it isnt big problem with me
FN+F12 did not...
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to point out that I installed a bcm94352z wthout needing to cut. The original intel 7260 card is A+E key but in fact our slot is an E key slot (I'm glald I checked before cutting it). I have wifi working so much better however I am not able to get bluetooth...
So is the single output TB card working with the apple thunderbolt display on X99 systems? I'm considering an upgrade from my X79 hackintosh and consolidating another hack i have which uses the thunderbolt display with an intel DC3217by NUC with thunderbolt built in.
Has anyone seen a BCM943224HMS with device ID 0576? I couldn't get it working and didn't try too hard since I had a 4357 laying around but I can find about 0 info about it online.
Achan, I also experience a slight delay with brightness and volume after several days of uptime on the laptop and repeated sleep/wake. A reboot fixes it.
hijacking someones post from earlier as I dont want to dig up my results but these are the same:
"ACPIDebug: "EC _Q0B enter"
ACPIDebug: "EC _Q2B enter"
ACPIDebug: "EC _Q0C enter"
ACPIDebug: "EC _Q2C enter"

The first 2 events correspond to pressing one volume key and the second 2 events...
Yes, two separate methods for kedown and keyup. Also, it appears that it actually makes 2 calls per key press, but I only needed to use one per direction to get up/down.
Also, rehabman I have to say I have read a ton of your posts out of curiosity and I just have to say bless you. Your...
Also, with regard to dual boot, I am very confident I can get it working. I just recently set up my surface pro with a windows 10/yosemite dual boot and it is working perfectly. If you need a hand with this I can probably help you out wherever you are hung up on it.
I Don't off the top of my head remember the ACPI commands that change brightness. My F2 and F3 keys do indeed change brightness. If you go back and look at the end of the brightness guide you can probably search my DSDT and find the commands that change the brightness and apply to your DSDT...
I'll upload my config.plist and dsdt. I have sleep working and the machine can be sleeping for several days with little drain to the battery.
My battery life is usually in the realm of 4-6 hours. I'm hoping I can find an extended battery for this machine soon.
edit: to add, i'm extremely...
[success] nab’s INTEL NUC DC3217IYE, i3-3217U (ethernet edition)
I had much better success using my own config.plist (modified from rehabman's standard), going DSDTless, and generating my own SSDT on my DC3217BY. the config.plist posted for clover in this thread did not work well for me at all.

make sure you are specifying the default boot volume (e.g. it is Macintosh HD for my machine). It won't do the autobot without it.
Luda,
I'd be very much interested in that card if I understand correctly that it is cut to fit A/E key. I have a toshiba laptop with ngff and I can't seem to find the card anywhere, I've thought about using the adapter but I don't think I have extra space in this machine for one.
