[PCI Configuration Begin], After Lion Successfully Installs

ghorwith - when you said you started with the original 10.7 kexts, did you mean just straight installing it without any previous tweaking? I tried doing that to begin with, but before I couldn't boot into the Installer partition because I was running into the [PCI Configuration Begin] brick...

[PCI Configuration Begin], After Lion Successfully Installs

Re: Updated| Grey Screen Hang: After Lion Successfully Installs Any ideas? How do I get past the [PCI Configuration Begin] issue on a drive that already has OSX Lion installed over a prev working 10.6.8 , per Tony's walkthru? I can still boot into the Installer partition. Is there any way...

Re: Grey Screen Hang @ Installer Partition, After xMove UPDATE 2: @#$% After Installing Lion over my 'existing SL installation', just like Tony's guide said, low and behold - another blank, grey apple boot screen: -v, [PCI Configuration Begin] I'm out of ideas guys. How the heck do I get...

Safest Way to load Sleep Enabler?

Any input out there? Just to confirm my testing, I loaded OSX, combo updated it to 10.6.8, and ran Multibeast 3.7.2 without Sleep Enabler, and everything is stable.

Safest Way to load Sleep Enabler?

It seems like every time I run Multibeast (3.72 or 3.80), if I were to load the Sleep Enabler kext, I would end up at a KP after reboot. The KP screen at boot specifically complains about the Sleep Enabler kext. If I skip that kext in Multibeast, everything runs fine (minus being able to go to...

    Lion Launching July 14th?

The biggest reason why I want to test out Lion is because of my GTX 580 , which apparently is supported in 10.7.x, but not in the current Snow Leopards. I guess I'll continue to use PT9 on W7 for now. Eventually I want all my video/audio editing programs all in one place, in this case, on the...

    Lion Launching July 14th?

Interesting, since that's the only reason why I use OSX, along with FCP. Any word on when this will be patched up? Maybe as a 9.0.4 update?

Noted. So far though, this forum has helped me get on the right path. Everything is working great except graphics. (crossing fingers for now)

GTX 580 - Cannot Change Resolution

Thanks for the support, and the 'tude. Is this something that might be a future fix, (adding strings/ID's) or is just playing the waiting game? Thanks

GTX 580 - Cannot Change Resolution

Thireus, thanks for responding. I'm not sure what you mean by kexts I have loaded, so here's what I've installed: 10.6.8 Combo Update - (success, without rebooting, continued to:) IOPCI Family.kext (Fixed version on this forum) Multibeast 3.73 - EasyBeast - System Utilities -...

GTX 580 - Cannot Change Resolution

Hi everyone, I just got 10.6.8 working with my GTX 580 with the help of tony's IOPCI kext workaround. The problem is after trying both the old tony NVIDIA 2.1.0 update, as well as the newest Quadro 4000 drivers posted, the max resolution I can reach is 1024x768. My display is 1920x1080...

EVGA X58 - Stuck after Installation

After the OSX installation completed without any issues, I now end up with a "You Must Restart Your Computer" error screen every time I boot into the new Macintosh HDD. I used a whole separate HDD for OSX. I set my system to barebones thinking it might be too much RAM installed or something...
