Down to my last problem; is wifi/BT supported on Asus Z590?

Hello Cosmix,
Oooops, sorry, I thought the input came from Applegrcoug, so a belately 'thank you' for your reply to my post.
I'll try it first and let you know.

Cheers to you as well :)
Hello,
Try to temporarily disable these kexts (and test). On reboot, reset Nvram.

If you have a Intel-based Wifi/BT you may need other kexts (see posts above ).
Cheers :)

Hello Cosmix,

This did not help me, the P.O.S.T. problems persist in Sonoma.
But that's OK, thanks again for the input.
I'm trying a new approach :) : I'm beginning from scratch with Dortania's OpenCore Guide.
Wish me luck

Kind Regards,
Zoltan

Hello,
So, it seems that before having a "last problem" ( i.e. WiFi/BT) you have all the others :)

You are right : When troubles last, go to the roots !
Wish you luck :)

Are you confusing POST with boot ?

POST is the Power On Self Test initialisation routine that happens when you press the power button.
After POST is complete it hands over to the selected boot device to continue.

Hello P1lgrim,

By P.O.S.T. problems, I mean:
  1. I boot successfully in Sonoma
  2. Do all kinds of stuf
  3. Halt/reboot the machine in a normal fashion
  4. I always end up with this screen...

The machine boots and stays stuck in the P.O.S.T. procedure.
It is a bit infuriating, but I gladly accept the challenge...

Kind regards,

Zoltan

This is covered in the Dortania Post Install Guide regarding CSR / config lock or something like this... I can't recall the lingo, but OS needs to write some status in nvram at shutdown but can't. Peruse the Post Install Guide.

Hello,
Once upon a time I also had a similar problem.
It was solved by setting this quirk:

Beeing a small change it can be tested right away.
If it does not help it can easily be reversed.

Cheers :)
Hello C-o-pr, P1lgrim and Cosmix,
That last Quirk did it for me.
I had to perform some acrobatics, but ...

Thanks to all three of you for your input and patience.
