Having the 'Best CPU for gaming' crown ripped from its desperate clutches by AMD, Intel probably doesn't want to see this right now!.

2 of my 3 hacks are AMD.......

Maybe if I was a gamer, if I were to change out my 5800x it would be for more cores for handbrake. But even that is waning as I don't play around with video as much as I used to.

Are you tempted by the Ryzen 7 5800X3D?, now officially the best gaming CPU. News this morning that the un-clockable Ryzen 7 5800X3D achieved a 5.15 GHz overclock!.

I'm enjoying watching Intel scramble to keep up and pushing TDP on their CPUs to the stratosphere.

I think the sweaty ghost of Steve Ballmer still resides at Intel!.

Balmer was at Intel?? I never knew... I thought he was just from Microsoft.

Oops!, my bad. You’re right sir, he did hail from Microsoft. Just Intels brash bravado over raising TDP reminded me of him.

Zen 4 will supposedly be here in the latter half of this year, so that will be a big leap in performance over the Ryzen 5000 series of CPUs.

"The rumor states that AMD can announce its Zen 4 powered 5nm Ryzen 7000 CPU family as early as Computex 2022 which is by the end of May. The 600-series AM5 platform will also be accompanying the processors though the actual launch isn't planned until mid of Q3. It will be a similar launch cycle as Ryzen 5000 with an announcement happening much earlier, but retail availability in 2-3 months' time." wccftech
