Hi Folks,

I have an issue with the system snot shut correctly & hangs until I hit the reset switch on High Sierra 10.13.2, everything boots ok, and the system is usable with out problems. I've tested the hardware with different OS and these shut normally (Windows 10 & Debian). The system works fine on Sierra & shut down normally as well, I've looked at common problems and enabled FixShutdown and Halt Enabler in the Acpi.
Any assistance would be gratefully received, I guess its going to be something stupid I missed, I've been looking everywhere for an answer.

Hello,
I have the same problem. Did you fix this?
Thanks!

No I've found that there was nothing I could do to fix it & I tried for days, it seemed to me an issue with the bios in the end updated it back dated and read memory wrong. So I sent it back amazon ordered the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX HERO worked first time out the box, so much better than the Gigabyte. Running like a dream

So you are saying there is no help for Gigabyte GA Z270x-UD5?!?!

I need to fix the shut down and the USB

Huh,..

You were right! Thanks! I did the same, I'm on ASUS ROG MXIMUS IX HERO Now, Shutdown, Audio NVIDIA... Everything works in the system. Whatever application I install and try run, it is VERY Slow,,.. Do you have that problem? I tried garage band, Logic Pro, Pro Tools,... Everything takes forever to run

No haven't had any problems, like that at all. Bios can be an issue to get right, took me a while to get my head around the deffernces. I have used a M2 512 SSD, WD but used the older type SSD drive without and issue. There few setting out there to follow you can follow, but i've not seeing exact ones.

Turns out that after I re-installed High Sierra and kept Drive format at HFS, everything is ok. Only thing not working now is USB3. Do you have it working in your system?
