Hi I need advice on Desktop compatibility? Any help will be much appreciated.

Mobo: AsRock H55M-LE
CPU: Intel i7-860
GPU: Zotax GTX 570

I am software dev, and only need a Hackintosh to run xcode, so graphics and sound is irrelevant for me.

If this is compatible, I have found an old thread from 2013, with Mountain Lion on the H55-LE. Should I go for older MacOS, or could I run a Sierra with these specs? (so i can get to use newest xcode).

Thanks. This community is very impressive! And i apologies for my 'Mac noobness'.

It is worth a try to install macOS on your system. I installed High Sierra 10.13.1 yesterday on

this system:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P565M-UD2
Memory - 8 GB (2x4GB)
CPU - Intel i7-875K
GPU - Geforce 8400 GS
Hard drive - 80 GB Seagate
Optical drive - LG DVD RW model GH22NS40

I used the latest UniBeast and latest MulitBeast.

Good modding,

Very interesting. Currently I am stuck at Disk Untility w. no drives found. Does the BIOS for Gigabyte GA-P565M-UD2 support UEFI boot mode? With my rig I have to run Legacy.

I have decided to follow a guide for Snow Leopard, that fits my Mobo/BIOS, but if that also fails, I'd might try to get hold of a Gigabyte GA-P565M-UD2. Thank you very much for posting and sharing your experience. That really helps a lot =)

This line has a typo: "Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P565M-UD2" and should read P55M-UD2".
Also I used the "Clover legacy" install mode for this system.
