Hi,

I've been around on the forums on and off for a few years.
I've a Hackintosh Nuc and have had a handful of Dell Laptop Hackintoshes but compared they are far simpler. I've never worked with a built system before.

I've recently picked up a built Hackintosh system for a steal running Yosemite which was running perfectly but i'm looking to upgrade it to Sierra or worst case El Capitan.

Spec:

Gigabyte GA H97M D3H mATX
i7 4790K 4.0Ghz
HD 4600 Graphics (for now)
16GB 1600mhz DDR3
128GB Samsung SSD
500GB HDD

I've tried to follow a couple of guides but each time i hit the same problem, the guides i've followed are:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-ga-h97m-d3h-i7-4790k-gtx-950-sc-10-11-4.189080/

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/322164-guide-macos-sierra-1012x-on-gigabyte-ga-h97m-d3h-dsdt/

Both guides i've failed at trying to boot from the installer USB. Consistently end up with the no entry sign and failed boot.

In researching possible reasons why, i've used different USB sticks and i've used USB3.0 and USB2.0 with no effect.

Does anyone have any ideas that could possibly send me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you

Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.
It probably says "Still waiting for root device" in the bottom left corner.

Apologies, Profile has now been updated.

Once home this afternoon, i'll boot in verbose and post.

Think this is now resolved now.

Not sure how i managed to get it to boot, i think it was multiple issues relating to multiple boot partitions within the existing two drives as well as old boot lists on the bios. Removed the drives and erased them with my Macbook and started fresh.

Still had issues with getting the installer to load up fully which i managed to resolve with -v -x

Once up and installed, ran Multibeast with suggested settings as per links above and it was perfect first time, wifi, hdmi audio etc.

Thanks to the forum !
