The use of iMac15,1, iMac17,1 and Mac Pro 6,1 don't have all that much to gain for Skylake; we've test them all. The a fore mentioned System Definitions require kext modification(s) after each updates, and, quite frankly, their use falls more into the folk lore realm than actually benefit.
I use iMac 14,2 on all my systems because it works w/o a lot "patting the head and rubbing the tummy" at the same time effort. MacMan prefers Mac Pro 5,1 for his SysDef on his Skylake build although, it, too requires a modified kext (AppleTyMCEDriver) but MultiBeast takes care of that when you select that SysDef. (See MultiBeast Changes-9.01 file that came with MultiBeast, Internal Changes for v9.0.0.)
So, unless there's a very good performance reason to select the iMac15,1, iMac17,1 and Mac Pro 6,1, go with either iMac14,2 or Mac Pro 5,1. Don't make more work for yourself.
