I'm trying to install El Capitan on Gigabyte Z170 XP-SLI mobo, intel 6700k processor, following this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...pitan-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.172672/.
Booting verbose from bootable install USB arrive at this screen: "This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this plattform".
Previously, updated Bios version to F21, wich prohibits updating to earlier version BIOS, such as F6.
Version F21 supports 7/th generation of processors, while i have 6th generation intel processor. Thid i mess it updating to this bios version? Also tryed to boot witn MSI GT 210 video card, but the same issue occur.
Is there any way to downgrade bios version to F6 again? This configuration is supossed to work with El Capitan. Have seen threads with succesfull with similar configurations.

Maybe you forgot FakeSMC.kext or you cose the wrong SMBIOS...
Which SMBIOS are you using?

Thanks for your reply!

Im using default Unibeast installation: UEFI boot mode with nVidia injection. What do you mean with that? Havn't reach installation screen, how could i edit SMBIOS? I have not set anyone.
I guess if it is related to the update to bios F21, instead of F6, which is the last that supports 6th generation processors. Vers F21 supports 7th gen processors and in not downgradeable to earlier bios version.

SMBIOS has nothing to do with BIOS...
With the SMBIOS definite which Mac you are using. You need to choose a model that allow you to boot up. You have a desktop skylake system, I would try iMac with Skylake system definition.

I've been searching arround and it seems to be related to the version of the instller: skylake processors are supported with 10.11.6 and i've been using a version 10.11.0.

Yes, i've seen that, it seems that the model most similar to mine is 17.1
