Hi all,

This is my first time building a hackintosh and I really appreciate all your help since I was able to boot my rig and now it seems that everything is working except for HDMI port.

I have one HDMI port on my GPU and I cannot get it to recognize my ultrawide monitor. It seems to me that HDMI port is not working at all. I read few threads and I have gotten mixed reviews. Some say that MacOS does not support HDMI and I should just resort to DVI and Displayport (My DVI works fine, I wasn't able to try out Displayport connection yet).

I wish to do a multiple display set up. I need to get this HDMI port working so that I can use two monitors at once. Can anyone help me please? Thanks in advance!

Best,

anyone have any idea?

I can tell you for a fact that OSX/Sierra supports HDMI as I use that 5 days a week to connect a 2014 Macbook Pro to an external monitor and have fed the output from an Nvidia 970 on the machine on which I am typing to an HDTV. Once connected you have options for how to use the external display but I simply use it to clone the notebook screen for general work with an external keyboard and mouse. I assure you it works.
Perhaps once connected you need to see what the options are in System Preferences/Display if you have not already done so.
Also not all HDMI cables are the same (hint) and if Display Port works the answer seems clear.

I've had terrible issues with my B75 build. My primary system uses the DisplayPort on my monitor, and I wanted to connect the HD4000 HDMI to it via (one of) the HDMI ports on the monitor. I got terrible ghosting from boot up, and was not able to access the system.
After a lot of faffing about i found out it's a monitor issue. The system works fine, on the other monitors I have, and on the flatscreen tv's, but just on that ASUS Gaming monitor it all turns to scheisse.

Hi samjcg,

Even though your HDMI port working it still only has 30hz not 60hz . Mine is GTX 970 and it only work with HDMI 1.4 device like my Samsung monitor (2 HDMI port one 1.4 and one 2.0)

Hi

I have the same motherboard. Have you tried the following: F12 (BIOS) > Chipset > Change 'internal graphics' to 'Enabled'?
