heavent been home yet to try the change of the GPU... however does anybody know where to find the BIOS updates for this board? i cannot find anything on the asus support page to the motherboard...
Go to the Asus Z10PE version of your motherboard, then I think its the support page, then downloads, then select the OS as DOS and then you will see the available BIOS's available

@TpwUK : how good is ur final geekbench score?? I am wondering if i shud buy an X10Dai or Z10PE-D8. Already have an X10Dai but I cant convert that into a fulltime OSX box and need another one. Any potential issues using my existing 2687W V3? or only V4 can work?

thankssss

Nicely timed I was just going to post these results :) ...
Please keep in mind that these are ES version CPU's and are somewhat slower than the OEM/Retail versions.
Also to obtain these results prevents Nvidia Web drivers and on-board audio loading - The best all round detection comes from using LinePack* the Performance settings under the Advanced Menu in the BIOS so I am likely to switch back to that setting and try tweaking from there, but with that setting you take a big hit with GeekBench3 results.

Sorry I can't answer that as I have not tried this board with v3 Xeons - There was one other person trying this board with v3's and they were not having much luck with them.

Dang nab it - LinPack* Performance Optimisation in the Advanced section of the BIOS Disables Hyper-Threading and puts all physical cores to maximum speed. Don't use this method unless your total threads are over 64 and you don't have a kernel hack to fix it!

Well it looks as if I am scuttled trying to get Xcpm fully working with iMac14,2 - Not sure if it's a Frequency Vectors thing or a bug somewhere else but the E5-2683 V4 ES CPU's actually drop in speed when stressed ... Kinda like me I guess :p

Need some help with compiling this SSDT file please, for whatever this box steadfastly refuses to compile _SB_. part and just gives me _SB. instead, so if anyone feels like helping out, compile and post back the .aml please .... Thanks - I need it to see if I can get more luck with MP6,1
