Are you still working on the project? I followed the guide and since there's no part 5 and 6 I'm kinda stuck here. I hope you'll finish it sometime, it's really hard to setup Mavericks on the S500CA

Thanks in advance!

Read compatibility overview: http://www.tonymacx86.com/laptop-compatibility/106791-laptop-compatibility.html

Use Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

Also, you will find many of the stickies here useful: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/

Hello antimidas. Maybe you can help me if you Install El Capitan on your laptop. If yes , can you tell me how do you fix problem with USB2 ports? When I install El Capitan only USB 3 ports work.

Thanks RehabMen!!!! it's a great guide and great gob! Thanks!

I'm stuck trying to get El Capitan installed on my S500CA. I've followed the steps in this guide and in this one: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

But I am stuck with the "Error allocating... / Error loading kernel cache" errors on boot. I've followed the troubleshooting steps for those errors as well with no luck.

Any way to replicate your install media or something as a way to shortcut to victory? I'm about ready to conclude this is not worth the effort.
