Hello,

I have been having issues with my internet hanging for no reason whilst using wifi. This follows on from a previous issue.

After lots of experimenting, I found I had to change my system definition and not use mac pro 3,1 in order for my wifi issues to go away. I eventually settled on iMac 12,2 as that is what is recommended generally for my specs.

Although this did get rid of my wifi problems, my opengl scores went down from 25 odd to 3.92 fps! This lead me to edit my applegraphicspowermanagement.kext for my nvidia gt 220 gpu. This sorted my GPU issues, but brought back my wifi issues.

The internet now freezes and hangs for a while before loading most pages I want to look at. It is quite random, but all too frequent.

It seems like my wifi card and the way my graphics card use the AGPM kext are linked, and it is very frustrating. Like I can only have one fully functioning at a time. I cannot find any other thread about this particular issue and am unsure how to go on from here.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

i too had weird issues with my connections but i am not using wireless per say although i am using a wireless bridge to connect to my router and i too had to edit Applegraphicspowermanagement.kext to get the best performance from my GT240

in my case it was the bluetooth dongel that was interfering with my signals. i was using a rocketfish usb dongle and a few weeks ago switched it for a jabra A320s and seems to resolved all the problems i had with my connection.
