Hello,
I recently put a great system to getter and so far it's running great with some small issues (sleep/audio)
however one big issue is driving me crazy
The TP-Link WDN4800 from the Buyer's guide only works properly on 802.11g, when it's running on 802.11n the connection sometimes drops, the Airport Icon stays connected like this:
But the network is totally unavailable although the icon says it is.
This happens after I download bigger files or have multiple applications open on my Hackintosh, sometimes the connection works for a couple of minutes and then drops, it's a bit annoying since we are doing some broadcasting on this system.
I'm pretty sure it's some issue with the network adapter in OS X since it work's fine in Windows.
My 2.4Ghz/5Ghz are on different SSID's and since I'm a bit further away for proper 5Ghz availability I'm on the 2.4Ghz network.
Things I tried
Setup
Router Linksys E4200 with Tomato firmware
TP-Link WDN4800 on GA-Z87X-UD5H motherboard
OS X 10.9.1
Does someone have a solution for this?

Things I tried
- Disabled wake_on_lan in BIOS - No success
- Disabled IPv6 - No success
- Installed Atheros driver from multibeast (ALXEthernet as a suggestions from someone when I was searching) - No success
- Switched IO80211Family with version 5.3. - No success
- Switched my router to 802.11g, this worked, but I want N speeds.
- Tested connection on my MacBook and iPhone/iPad, it works fine there.
