TP LINK TL-WDN4800 has issues during clean install of mavericks .
Plain refuses to join a network both during install and after .
(Installed itself during mountain lion installations )
Others having issues too so can people add there own observations here.
Some seem to have kept it working if upgraded from ML ?
This is recommended hardware so maybe a fix can be added to multibeast as its obviously a popular card.
Thanks

Works fine over here. Didn't need to install anything. Just plug it in. Start up and go. The only issue I have with this is that it disconnects sometimes when it's under heavy use.

Very strange this , it sees my network and just plain refuses to connect.
And refused to join while installing mavericks also .
Dual boot win 7 & 8 also and both working perfect.
Has to be something in mavericks .

Still not able to join a network, convinced it's something to do with the mavericks build?
I did have to boot with -x to install so maybe that's why it wouldn't join during install?
I use WPA2 and I have read of issues with that on real macs too so will have to wait and see.
I'm leaning towards new security features in mavericks but just guessing.
At least others are having problems too so hope a fix isn't too far away.

Solved ...
Delete io80211family.kext from S/L/E and replace with version 6.30.223.74.22 from mountain lion.
Use kext utility when replacing and let it repair permissions .
Restart and wifi should be connected.

Installed Mavericks (fresh install on a new build) and can't get TP Link TL-WDN4800 to work. I see the solution is to replace the kext (version 6.30.223.74.22 from mountain lion) but where does one acquire the kext file? I don't have ML.

When I updated to Mavericks I had the same issue with the WiFi disconnecting. Reverted back to ML because of it.

Have you had any luck resolving this issue?

Hi guys,

This may be of help to you with your wifi and Mavericks, bedzomy was having the same issue and resolved it posting his solution in my build thread: #169

I reduced the amount of drops I get by moving my bluetooth adapter away from my wifi adapter, but have not completely resolved it.

It seems like it's a widespread issue. Some say that it's the OS. Some say it's your router. Others say it's your motherboard settings. It's anybody's guess at this point!
