So I puchased some parts for my new hackintosh build. It's actually a HTPC for my dad's living room.
I partitioned the harddrive and installed OSX 10.8 and Win7.
The install went fine however my radeon 4850 isn't working. I only get default resolution 1024x768.
Running Multibeast and GraphicsEnabler = Yes doesn't help either. After installling multibeast I
also had trouble booting into OSX but I solved that problem with "PCIRootUID=1"
I also use an DVI to VGA adapter on my Radeon 4850. I hope that one doesn't have anything to do with no graphics acceleration.

What could I try to solve this ?

System Specs:

Gigabyte z77m-d3h
Intel i3 2120
Powercolor Radeon 4850 PCS (that card ran fine on my old 10.6 build)
8 GB Corsair 1600mhz Memory

My DVI-HDMI Adaper arrived today. Still the same problem. No QE / QC. And I don't really know what the problem is. My 4850 should be natively supported!

10.8.1 is out. I got only 1600x1200 and sleep was not working.

hmm I did a clean install today. updated to 10.8.1, applied multibeast and still no success. stuck @ 1024x768. kinda frustrating knowing that that card ran fine under Snow Leopard

grahpic enabler = No

Already tried it and it didn't work however I will try it one more time today with a new clean install of ML.
Are there any Uefi settings that might be wrong ? I use F9 Bios

1.) Install ML
2.) Update to 10.8.1
3.) Run Multibeast DSDT/ No DSTD Install
4.) Boot and change GraphicsEnabler in boot.plist to "No"

Here's how I got it working:

1.) Install ML
2.) Boot with USb Stick Unibeast and download + install 10.8.1 update (it wont give you 4850 support ... the problem with some cards is that the id is wrong inside the
kext. You could fix it yourself but there are many problems that come with it. First the plist files in the kext are hidden. Secord you get problems editing the plist file
because you don't have write access.
3.) Better solution: Go get this ---> http://www.osx86.net/view/2900-qe_ci_exotic_patch_mountain_lion_gm.html
4.) Put those 2 kext files on your desktop
5.) Get Kextbeast from tonymac
6.) Now run it and install those two kexts
7.) Boot from your Unibeast USB Stick and make sure your 4850 is working
8.) Install everything else with multibeast. (leave GraphicsEnabler=Yes / thats the default setting)
9.) Voila

I hope it helps :)
