GA-Z77-D3H sound and 10.8

I have managed to get 10.8 running fine on the following set-up, except the sound:

GA-Z77-D3H
i5 3570K
HD4000

I have tried all of the following, none of which worked:
- deleted applehda.kext, fixed permissions and installed voodoohda 2.7.3
- did the same for 2.7.4
- I have have changed the device ID

The computer boots fine with voodoohda, no kernel panic, however when I try to open the voodoo panel I get the following error: "Can't get registry entry-path"

The motherboard uses the VIA2021 chip

Has anyone succeeded getting this to work?

You have to delete the AppleHDA.Kext before installing the voodooHDA 2.7.3
I tried to use the installer package that came with the 2.7.3 download but it did not work. I had to down load the voodooHDA.kext file it self then install using the kext utility from multibeast.
 
Anyone have any suggestions?
 
Delete the VoodooHDA.kext that you installed and run multibeast 5.02 and under audio check universal Voodoo VIA VT2021 then reboot. that is working for me and i have no KP yet.

GA-Z77m-D3H right?

I dont get a KP when I use the one in multibeast, the computer just locks up, and when i restart, still 0 sound.
 
my GA-Z77M-D3H also works clear with VodooHDA VT2021 from lastest Multibeast 5.02.

Can you give some steps?

All I did after I pressed "Start up your mac" (extensions deleted AppleHDA) safari->multibeast 5.0.2-> selected USERdsdt/Ethernet Atherlos/Audio VT2021 computer makes a pop, then locks up, restart, no sound
 
No success using that method for me. Did you change anything in the bios from default (apart from ACHI?)

Also, which bios version are you running? F14?

I have followed all the guides and tried so many different things, spent hours on this. Something must be causing error.
