FYI I really want mountain lion because Mavericks wont let me install most of the plugins I use to create music

Used the Unibeast USB I made to install ML

Nothing would boot normally, so all installs I had to use safemode "-x"

Once ML was installed I used these MultiBeast Settings:

DID NOT CHECK "Easybeast"
DID NOT CHECK "User DSDT or DSDT-Free" -- only because every time i tried this option, no diceo_O
Drivers>Audio>Realtek ALC8xx>Without DSDT>ALC1150
Drivers>Disk>3rd Party SATA
Drivers>Disk>TRIM Enabler>10.8.3+ TRIM Patch
Drivers>Miscellaneous>FakeSMC v5.3.820

Boot Options>1080p Display
Boot Options>Power Management Hibernate Mode>Desktop
System Definitions>Mac Pro>Mac Pro 3,1
Themes>tonymacx86 Black

"Install Failed" -- but I know that the right things are in place

shut down comp

removed the USB

I restarted, held [delete] and set the following BIOS Settings:

power management > wake on LAN > disabled
peripherals > intel graphics > enabled -- memory allocation set to 64M
legacy usb support > enabled
BIOS features > VT-d > disabled
M.I.T.>Advanced memory settings > Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)> Profile1

restarted again, let it go, got hung up on the apple with the eyes screen:(

with these settings it hangs when trying a normal boot. using "-v" I can see it's the incomplete power management error and missing bluetooth error [see attached screenshots]

I'm going to try to disable the intel graphics under peripherals to see if i can get a normal boot. any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated, I need to get this thing running cause I have some music projects that I owe people! thanks in advance and I will post findings along the way.

Managed to get past the error!!

power management > wake on LAN > disabled
peripherals > intel graphics > disabled
legacy usb support > enabled
BIOS features > VT-d > disabled
M.I.T.>Advanced memory settings > Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)> Profile1

after changing the peripherals > intel graphics to disable, everything works!

..will post in user builds..:headbang:

Thanks for sharing. Glad everything is rocking for you. I'm currently working on my first build with the z97x ud7 th and i7 4790k. However I'm using onboard graphics. I'm wondering if your multibeast and bios settings could get me up and running.

Did you have any issues getting audio to work on your end?

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback and advises. Very usefull.
I have the same build (expept CG witch is a gtx580) but can't get the sound working.
I did use the same Multibeast settings as you:
Drivers>Audio>Realtek ALC8xx>Without DSDT>ALC1150

But no sound. Your ALC1150 is really working ?

One other thing, did you check your P-states ? Are they ok ? Mine are 8,40,44. Meaning the CPU frequency jumps from 800 Mhz to 4.0 Ghz witch is not very smooth.
You can use DPI Manager to check your P-states
