Hi guys.
So far everything was working fine but today while using logmein, the computer froze and I had to restart it.
After restart I am stuck at
Previous Shutdown Cause: 5
SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR: MM10 regMap == NULL – fall bacl to old SMC mode
Hmm.. mismatch sizes: 3100 vs 20
ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start – waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPower Management )
WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3c
-- power management may be incomplete or unsupported
DSMOS has arrived
[IOBluetoothHCIController][start] – completed

Even the safe mode does not work .. any idea ?
(i didn't change anything software or hardware related, just did a reboot)
also I do not use any video card as I use it as a server and use logmein only from another computer to access it)

Thanks.

Gerry.

You need to read the rules - especially the one about posting your hardware in your profile, but do read all of them.

Impossible to help you at this time.

If it stops at the Bluetooth.....Completed stage, the problem is most likely gfx related as that is the next item initiated.

If using on-CPU HD4600 make sure to set in BIOS First Init Display = IGFX (or may be IGPU)
set internal gfx memory = 64M
set internal gfx = enabled

These are needed for internal gfx to work.

So I checked the bios settings and here is what it says:
Internal Graphics : Enabled
Internal Graphics memory Size: 64 M
DVMT Total Memory size: Max

I also check the sata mode and it is AHCI..
really strange...especially because it was working 2 days ago :banghead:

OK, what changed? Did you install any apps or other software in the last 2 days? Do you have a clone back up or at least a TM backup?

Well that is the mystery as I didn't change anything.
No software installed, no hardware modification. The only thing that happened was the Logmein software that froze.

I do have a clone copy of the OS but the clone doesn't get an IP address as it cannnot find the built in ethernet card.

ML didn't get Haswell support until 10.8.5. It is possible 10.8.5 on Haswell is still glitchy. Suggest an upgrade to Mavericks. Why not? It is free.

That is a really good point but to be honest I have no clue if such an upgrade is possible on a Hackintosh.
I was (am) kind of worry that switching to Mavericks would screw everything up...

Download the Mavericks install app. Use UniBeast Mavericks to create a USB installer. Install Mavericks just like you installed Mountain Lion. You might want to install on a different drive if you want to continue to try to get ML working.
