So does anyone have any ideas why my Hackintosh won't reboot? If i power it up without the usb wifi adapter plugged in, it reboots just fine but if its plugged in, it will not fully shutdown or reboot.. it gets stuck at a black screen. Thanks in advance

my gaming performance is a little shady inside of OS X.. Its awesome inside of windows. Even old COD MW3 isnt as fluid as it should be.. Its like it takes a minute or so to run smoothly.. War thunder seems to be better but it still doesnt match the performance or quality of windows.

what score are you getting with your 680 when you run the Luxmark bench? Im only getting 690 or so.. I should be getting like 1300 - 1400 i think..

I am using that boot flag, but it didnt start working until i installed that Generic Kext..

lol.. it wasn't even installed.. sorry.. i installed it and now the system is working properly. But i can't reboot or shutdown my system with the usb wifi adapter plugged in.. do you know of a fix for it? If i take it out while the system is on it will freeze. Thanks again

ok.. I can't find where GenericUSBXHCI.kext is at?

I moved them to another drive and it rebooted fine.. so i deleted them from the other drive. Thanks again Jay

Thanks I checked that flag and i can insert a usb 3.0 drives do work in usb 2.0 ports and it works, but usb 2.0 into a 3.0 port doesn't work.. Any ideas?

Thats right, its 3.0.1. Yeah, i should've paid a little more attention. Its weird how it started booting again and all i did was use the Unibeast install usb i created to boot to Mavericks and then reinstalled Chimera 3.0.1.. Then it rebooted fine. Gothcha Will do and thanks for all...

Hello all, For some reason when i plug in a usb 2.0 thumb drive into a usb 3.0 port, it doesn't work.. same with usb 3.0 drive into a usb 2.0 port.. Also, if I unplug my usb wifi adapter which i use to connect to the internet, OS X will freeze. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello again and thanks for your help.. Funny i didnt see part two way down there.. I went through it though.. but im guessing something went wrong... my uuid was "00020003-0004-0005-0006-000700080009" I saved the one that i generated with "uuidgen" in the smbios.plist file and saved it...

I just went through Step 2 again and even went down to Step 4 and completed it as well. My ethernet port is set as en0 and my wireless usb adapter is set to en1. Do i need to use en0 in order to make iMessages work or something? Thanks

hmm.. then i don't know. Mine was working really slow, but it was a ping issue and i booted with a -f and it fixed it..
