    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Sounds great, so even with just one HDMI device plugged in? Have to check your configuration later. Got my M1 Macbook Pro this week, so a bit less time left for NUC-tryouts after work ;) I've cardreader enabled in the bios, too but it's not working for you too, is it?

afaik the alcid boot arg just overwrites the layout-id but is basicly the same thing. So I don't use the alcid boot arg, but have layout-id set to <17000000> which is reversed hex for 23. If I check in hackintool it also shows layout-id 23: I attached my EFI. If I remember right @konsti had...

I've a USB Sound Device and often use a bluetooth headset, but I also have a display with built in speaker, which I used to test hdmi/thunderbolt audio. Both displays (hdmi/thunderbolt) show up as sound devices: Since the Dell (connected over hdmi) doesn't have internal speakers I connected...

I had no luck with Voodoo and sound on HDMI/Thunderbolt. But latest AppleALC + alcid=23 worked for me and seems to stay working after sleep. Maybe give it a try.

Interessting  Guess we need your EFI. It was working prior to the update? Did you change anything?

My bluetooth is still fine (using it for Magic Keyboard + Trackpad + headphones) and macOS does not detect any new updates. Can you please share your build number? ( -> About this Mac -> Click on the version number to reveal the build number). are you on stable or beta?

This Thread is under Catalina Support. It's time I guess. --- As far as I know you can't change the items (but I don't know too much on this topic). If you want to change your default boot drive you can do it by using the "Startup Disk" utility on macOS.

Sure. Did a restart: it was instanly there and connected. did a shut down, then booted again, there and connected. but after the shutdown it first connected to the 2,4ghz network, then disconnected and reconnected to 5ghz after some seconds. On another overwiew page in my repeater I also...

That sounded so exciting, that I had to instanly try it out. And YES! I can confirm it too. The alpha version works without helliport. Nice one! But the quality of the wifi sadly didn't change. The connection itself is pretty slow compared to other devices. The repeater it's connected to is just...

I didn't post my Cooling bios settings earlier because I don't consider them to be very healthy. But it makes it a lot less noisy.. Strange. I use safari as my default browser, didn't notice any problems. Which bios version do you have? I'm on 0045 and it shuts down on Big Sur just fine...

There have been some others having this problem some pages back (~ page 56 of this thread). I didn't have this issue at any point so far, so I didn't really read them  My shuts down perfectly and stays off. I really wonder what could be the reason behind this, especially if you used my...

Sometimes it is difficult to get it booting and on the other day you can f**up this much and it's still working fine x'D Thanks for the deep look into my EFI. I changed the iGPU device-info to the stuff you "expected" and the layout-id to 23 and dropped the alcid=23 parameter. It started up...

~ kextstat | grep -i fake Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil showloaded No variant specified, falling back to release nope. not there. (USBPorts.kext is missing, too. maybe because of the different model? I'll try to change it.) I think I found it in some post here. I had problems using Docker with...
