Hi! What do you mean by switching ethernet ports on the computer side? My computer has only one ethernet port. I switched it several times on the router and the switch. That didn't change anything. Greets z0dac

Hi joka91400, thank you for your reply and for letting me know that I'm not alone. :) I have a TP Link 5-port switch in my office. Its power plug is in the powerstrip that also connects to my Hackintosh. But I can't really imagine, that this makes a difference?!? Greets z0dac

Mmh... that's strange. When I set up my system I could only use HDMI (my TV) as a main monitor when I set the system definition to Mac Mini. It was Mac Pro before but it only booted properly via DVI or by using GE=no. Greets z0dac

Just be aware that by using the Mac pro profile using the HDMI port as a standalone port for video (e.g. if your Hack mini shall be a Media Center working on a TV via HDMI) - will NOT work. For this the system definition "Mac mini" is necessary. Greets z0dac

Why does everyone say that you need Windows to update the BIOS? I updated my BIOS using Q-Flash (BIOS on USB Stick) like a douzen times. It always worked perfectly. @amoretam: Try installing one more time. If you really did nothing wrong it may be a hardware error. Never had such problems...
