After upgrading to High Sierra I've been seing GUI instability when using my R9 380 with Lilu and WhateverGreen. It used to be rock solid on 10.12, but now the system hangs from time to time. It's usually the GUI, the mouse pointer being the only part that remains "moving". I see no problems...

I'm intensely inclined to treat myself a RX 460 after reading your post. I already suspected Polaris 11 would do fine since all points that it will be inside the new line of MacBooks. I wonder how well Polaris 10 will play with Sierra, specially the RX 470.
