No freezes after 10.14.5 beta 1 update. I bought a nice NvME for this test. I edited that video on FCPX, no problems so far. I also installed other programs like Davinci Resolve. No issues but still the old Vega10 was indicated on the GPU options. Im currently working on it now...

I bought a cheaper M.2 512 NVMe SSD. A little cheaper than my 970 EVO's but it is fast. It's an Aorus RGB 512GB NVMe SSD, and I loaded my 10.14.5 Public Beta 1 onto it. It is performing well.. Here's the video link:

did you turn on your iGPU? iGPU is needed for Quicksync in FCPX to get faster render speeds. my EFI folder is attached. :)

Why 28sec on bruceX5k, mine is around 8-10 sec. UHD 630 + Radeon VII.

I think the problem now is how to adjust the fans. I think it is not spinning at the right RPM on certain load temps. With the supported native drivers it should match.. I don't really hear the fans scream on full loads :)

what do you think i missed? I just run the update from the "about this mac" "software update" should I do a clean install?
