I have the same problem, with an other LG monitor LG 34UM88-P. I have a nice screen with dp, but no sound. Btw do you have Display Sleep wake up problem with your setup?

I have the same issue but my monitor is 21:9 Ultrawide (LG 34UM88-P) not 4K. After Display sleep, Monitor stays black with display port. With HDMI cable the monitor wakes up without problem. Displayport cable enables 60hz but HDMI doesn't, so I want to use displayport cable. Any solution guys...
