I have a nearly-perfect install of Mavericks with functioning sleep and wake. The only problem I can see is that upon wake, I get notifications that all of my external drives were disconnected without being properly ejected. Anybody know how to fix this while keeping functional sleep/wake?

Even if you don't buy a new computer? I didn't know that.

I can confirm the VMWare method works like a charm. Just a huge PITA. Interestingly, GarageBand was the only app I didn't have to do this for. The App Store gave me the option to install next to my GarageBand '11 install. Odd.

Ok, now the question is, how does one install OS X in a virtual machine?

I haven't seen the Apple ID issue pop up for actual Mac users though. Their issue seems to be that the option to update in the MAS doesn't show up. The MAS shows 3 updates, but when I try to update it throws up the Apple ID problem.

Hey all, I have iWork '09 on my machine (from a DVD), and went to the app store to update to the newest versions. The update button shows up, but when I try clicking the button, it throws an "Update Unavailable with This Apple ID" box up. Anybody have any similar problems?

Since iWork and iLife are now free for new Macs, what does that mean for us?

Hey there, As I was updating my system to 10.8.5, I lost audio. So, I used MultiBeast and a DSDT to restore my audio. Somehow during this process, I downgraded Chimera, and now my system will not boot. I'm assuming this is because I'm running a version from 2011 that does not support Mountain...

Audio broken even after AppleHDA Rollback. Help? EDIT: Never mind, it reset the wrong default audio output in system prefs. Everything working 100% =)
