    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Is a time machine backup adequate or should I do a full hardware clone of my drive before starting?

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hi guys! I haven't posted in a long time here. I think that's been because I've been happy with my hackintosh project, working with FCP and Logic among other programs. I havent made any hardware changes to my rig yet, but it still performs really well! I want to say thank you all again for the...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I'm gonna go ahead and admit I was overthinking the whole issue. So I went ahead and made the changes for option 2. Progress update: Sleep/wake works! Final Cut and iMovie work! A few curiosities of note: When my system was a Mac Mini, the front panel headphone jack on my case was configured...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I have the plist and serials in and I can now put my computer to sleep and wake it up with just one key press. Only the RX 580 is showing up under graphics now. The UHD Graphics 630 is showing up under PCI, but doesn't list any video memory. I have lost Final Cut and iMovie though. They crash on...

Yeah, relocating the reciever did it. I'm up to date on my USB now too. I made a copy in a different folder and removed the serial numbers. The plan is to copy/paste the serials back into the new config.plist and replace the file in my EFI/CLOVER folder.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Well, my hardware was slightly different than prescribed. I did have to flash the BIOS to F6c because F4, the version it came with, wasn't working so well. Oh and I had to use a different Clover Configuration on my flash drive than the one the guide makes due to some hardware differences. I...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hey guys, this is a progress update. I am currently posting from this from my new rig. MultiBeast finally ran all the way through without any lockups, and the rest of the post-install went through without a hitch. My systems loads into macOS without the flash drive now thankfully. The recent...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Cool. I'm about to restart and try that. EDIT: Just did that. It locked up when I put in my password in OSX, but after restarting a second time it loaded back into the desktop just fine. Strange. Well, it is up and running. How about the MultiBeast setup? Should I follow the guide again and...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I'll try to cover that line by line. It was enabled, so I will continue down the list. Nothing was plugged into the thunderbolt ports, but because of this suggestion, I sprayed them with a can of computer duster just to make sure none of the contacts had anything causing a short. BIOS has now...

I'm trying to be thorough here so I hooked it up to an elgato recorder just to be sure, and grabbed the stills frame by frame using VLC player. Took a while but at least the blurriness is gone. I'm not entirely sure what would be helpful so I included a lot of pictures.

I have uploaded v2 to the USB. It has failed to load the GUI once again. These are the latest screenshots (with apologies for the blurriness in the first picture)

Follow up. Just tried loading the optimized defaults, making the changes in the guide except I set the graphics to IGFX. I have this screen now.

Just to double check, I loaded the optimized defaults, made the changes in the guide, and retried using the PCIe graphics card enabled and plugged into the monitor. I got this result:

I haven't flashed my BIOS as it came with version F4. I did reset my CMOS yesterday, though. EDIT- my SSD is Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B/AM)
