I put my old Sierra hard drive back in and installed an NVidia graphics card. My machine works as well as it did before now. No High Sierra for me, at least for now.

I'm still struggling with this. I've now started over from scratch again, and cannot get video working under acceleration. I've come to depend on this machine for weekly multi-cam video edits under FCPX, and am now getting concerned I may have to come up with $3000-4000 to buy an iMac. Any help...

A suitable "Plan B" would be an inexpensive (<$100) graphics card that would be really easy to get working. Short of getting on-board working, any recommendations for a card?

Thanks so much! I got the boot working properly. I'll have to edit it to set the right default, but can at least pull the USB drive now. This is probably my issue. The original was for Sierra, and now I'm getting High Sierra running, so I downloaded the High Sierra version of Multibeast. So...

Forgive my complete cluelessness on this. I have a system that is a little over a year old and has gone on the fritz. It seems that every time I have to do anything to it, I've forgotten almost everything about how to make it work again, so I am starting over at nearly square one. It worked well...

I just went through that whole thing and still didn't get it to work. I got the "ROM Failed" and updating Clover drivers didn't help. May tinker again later, but out of time for today.
