Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

I put my old Sierra hard drive back in and installed an NVidia graphics card. My machine works as well as it did before now. No High Sierra for me, at least for now.

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

I'm still struggling with this. I've now started over from scratch again, and cannot get video working under acceleration. I've come to depend on this machine for weekly multi-cam video edits under FCPX, and am now getting concerned I may have to come up with $3000-4000 to buy an iMac. Any help...

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

So I found this thread, via the Install Guide: [READ ME FIRST!] Graphics Setup & Troubleshooting I'm confused about the instructions under Intel HD. I can't figure out how to set "InjectIntel=True" I have Clover from my previous install, and when I opened it again it asked to update (so I did.)...

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

Actually, it seems as though Multibeast isn't doing anything for me. None of the drivers I've tried installing via Multibeast have made anything work. What works: Networking & Bluetooth (no problems at all) - Thanks to P1lgrim, booting is a minor issue (I need to edit the default) What doesn't...

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

A suitable "Plan B" would be an inexpensive (<$100) graphics card that would be really easy to get working. Short of getting on-board working, any recommendations for a card?

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

I just noticed my own signature says Intel HD530. :banghead:  That's not doing the trick though.

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

Thanks so much! I got the boot working properly. I'll have to edit it to set the right default, but can at least pull the USB drive now. This is probably my issue. The original was for Sierra, and now I'm getting High Sierra running, so I downloaded the High Sierra version of Multibeast. So...

Install Troubles: Video [Gave Up] & Boot [Solved]

Forgive my complete cluelessness on this. I have a system that is a little over a year old and has gone on the fritz. It seems that every time I have to do anything to it, I've forgotten almost everything about how to make it work again, so I am starting over at nearly square one. It worked well...

    Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck

I just went through that whole thing and still didn't get it to work. I got the "ROM Failed" and updating Clover drivers didn't help. May tinker again later, but out of time for today.

    Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck

Not much time lately to go through this, but thanks for the tip. I'm filing it away for next time I have some time to tinker.

    Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck

And another reboot gives me on-board audio and Bluetooth is about 95% better (also on-board) Still no WiFi (though not the end of the world for me) Also, I see that Messages won't login. I remember seeing that's a problem for some people, will have to dig in and see if I can get that to work...

    Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck

After a busy couple weeks, I'm back to tinkering. I don't have a use for this machine other than the Hackintosh in which I bought it for, so I'm not giving up quite yet. It will be awhile before I can get an iMac instead, so I might as well keep trying. There's a little bit of process. I tried...

    Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck

Lots of problems for me. What I CAN do: Install Sierra on an SSD Boot to Sierra with the UniBeast USB drive as the bootloader Basic video works Ethernet works Download software from the App Store (something I saw gave me the impression this isn't a given) What I can't do: Get my system to...

    Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck

Forgive me for starting a new thread, I had been piggybacking off this thread, but ssmendon (the original poster) got his system working and that thread was marked "Solved", so the tread isn't getting any attention. I'm struggling to get my system to boot after either MultiBeast or the newest...

[SOLVED] - Sierra (10.12.5) boot stuck after Multibeast Install

I gave it another go, as described in my last post. Fresh install, loaded Kext files according to the post ssmendon linked to, and installed the newest Clover downloaded from Sourceforge. Still won't boot. Here are the screenshots from two boot attempts (no change between them, just a reset)
