Thanks for this! I was having the same issue and didn't realize it was related to the sound device. It might be a more or less recent change, as I often have my bluetooth speakers off and don't remember having had this issue with videos before.
Thanks for the feedback here! I have been able to fall back to the integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics, and at least the issue is not occurring anymore. :) I guess I'll keep trying the GTX 660 when there are new OS updates.

I've got the same motherboard. For USB 3.0 to work, you need to install the GenericUSBXHCI version 1.2.5 kext from http://sourceforge.net/projects/genericusbxhci/.
The combo update worked great with the following configuration:
Intel Core i7-3770

ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
IOGear Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter
TP-Link PCI Express Wifi Adapter
As for sound, I use the SSDT to have HDMI sound through a nVidia GTX-660 graphics card...
