I have tested the driver and it does not enable OpenCL. I have tried installing it and then Macman's patch (in MultiBeast-4.4.0) and the other way around, and I had no success enabling OpenCL.
Also, OpenCL didn't work with 10.7.4 original driver plus Macman's patch, even if (the patch is)...
Well, I have just installed my first RAID 0 drive ever, so I'm using Apple RAID option in "Disk Utility". It creates 3 slices for each drive, which means that I have to install Chimera into the boot partition of both, based on http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=160467 thread.
I'm...
Re: Guide - New ATI Kexts from MBP 10.6.7 Update - 5XXX/6XXX
Does anyone here have a ASUS Matrix 5870?
I can't find the correct "AtiConfig" behavior! I've tried Zonalis, Langur, Hoolock and Orangutan (present on ATI5000Controller.kext) to no avail, meaning no Geekbench and DVD Player or no...
Re: Guide - New ATI Kexts from MBP 10.6.7 Update - 5XXX/6XXX
Sure. Sorry I didn't express myself correctly.
What I meant was I was using FE DSDT and FE BIOS and was getting benchmarks penalty. I verified it by removing the FE DSDT, living my machine without any DSDT and I got a good bump on...
Re: Guide - New ATI Kexts from MBP 10.6.7 Update - 5XXX/6XXX
I have got mine working with GraphicsEnabler=No, but, of course, no Geekbench and no DVD Player. I'm keeping GraphicsEnabler=Yes and "arch=i386" for now. Don't know why, but I'm getting one hundred extra points on novabench by not...
Re: Guide - New ATI Kexts from MBP 10.6.7 Update - 5XXX/6XXX
Hi everybody!
I just got a ASUS Matrix 5870 Platinum to replace my GTX460.
I have managed to get it working with Kabyl and GraphicsEnabler=Yes, but my machine doesn't even start with MBP kexts and GraphicsEnabler=No (See the picture...
But did you actually got a rock solid system or DVDPlayer and Geekbench are crashing on you? If those 2 programs are crashing, it means that some other are too, like Diablo 2 and StarCraft 2. This is my main concern on switching video boards. The KP issue (for NVidia) is not the only problem we...
Hi everyone! I've notice that there was a driver update in NVidia's website.
My GTX460 driver is 256.01.00f03 and in NVidia's website there is a 256.01.00f03v7 version. I just saw this and I have to go out for a few hours, when I get back I'll try this out. If anyone has the time, please report...
I must say that this fix worked flawlessly. I just didn't have the guts to turn off the wallsaver yet, as I do not believe that this will solve my freezes. Nice feature though.
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry, it didn't.
Please take a look at this post:

HI!
My system is:
Galaxy GTX 460 1GB
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R with a i7-930 @2.8GHz
Cinebench 19.05Fps (this is just awful, don't know how to fix this yet)
smbios=MacPro3,1
I have not experienced crashes since I started using the wallpaper workaround. Before it the crashes were random.
Hi,
I've done some tests with OpenGL Extensions Viewer and noticed that the driver doesn't support almost any instructions from OpenGL 3.0 and up. Please see attachment.
I read this whole thread (took me a while... 45 pages so far), tried a few of the solutions (not the custom firmware... too...
