OK, just found this newer thread here on the forum. I guess I should just give in and buy that broadcom replacement card. I do think that the buyer's guide should be updated to reflect that the m.2 bt functionality is unreliable.
Really no one that have tried to get the on-board bluetooth working on this mobo? Since it says in the description of Customac Mini Deluxe that "Please note that the included Intel m.2 card includes both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but only the bluetooth features are available under macOS", I figured...
Aren't these only for the Broadcom chip? However, I tried to install them, but no change. Thanks for the suggestion though! Anything else I should try?

Just built myself a Mac Mini Deluxe with the Z170N Gaming 5 mother board. It says clearly in the Buyer's Guide that on-board Wifi will not work, but since I have no need for Wifi in this build that's just fine. However, the bluetooth should be recognised according to the Guide...
