I also thought Chrome was the victim. But let's face it, we use chrome a lot longer than any other app so we generally assume that the freezes are due to chrome. It's been nearly 20 days and I haven't had a freeze thanks to the app. I hope it works for others as well.

I'm also giving freeze fix a try. Is it suppose to not "open" an app when you open the app? Perhaps it's something that runs in the background? Anyways, I added freezefix.app to my login items so let's see if this will stop the freezes. Thanks :)

Thanks. I tried the EFIStudio method, but it just left me with a black monitor when booting. I had to take out my SSD drive and connect to my laptop via USB and remove the hex string all together for it to work again. I then tried deleting NetworkInterfaces.plist and it worked after a reboot...

Just a heads up. Once you have a bootable USB working with UniBeast. Enter -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1 IF you have a P67A-UD4-B3 motherboard. That combination worked for me.
