OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

I've been running the hackintosh with NVMe and windows 10 dual boot for +-2 weeks now without problems! Unfortunately I've hit another "problem". At the moment I have 2 SSD's connected, 1 m.2 NVMe SSD (OSX) and 1 SATA SSD (windows10). Last week I wanted to put my 2 sata HDD's from my windows...

FCPx 4k lagging when skimming clips

Hello guys, I've build a Hackintosh mainly to edit in FCPx (dual booting windows as wel for some games). My problem is, when I import 4k footage and skim clips in event viewer it's kind of laggy. When I skimm the same clips on my MacBook Pro 15" late 2013 it's a lot faster (both without...

Enabling AMD RX 4XX cards in Sierra.

Ah that's what I suspected, thanks. Is it correct though that when you boot with 2 cables connected (VGA/DVI i.e.) that performance of the rx480 is less than when you boot with only the dvi cable in the rx480? Or is it enough to pull the vga cable on clover? Or does the drop in performance...

Enabling AMD RX 4XX cards in Sierra.

Hello Guys, another questions.. I'm not sure if this is the exact right place to ask this, if not, please tell me. So I had my MSI Radeon rx 480x working nice and smooth. Then I decided to get an m.2 nvme SSD (Samsung 960 Evo). Did a couple of re-installs and got it working, also have my GPU...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

Installed the fakeSMC.kext via kext wizard as wel, and cleared cache afterwards via terminal. So now I have both the FakeSMC.kext and the HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext in my NVMe efi/clover/kexts/other and on /s/l/e. Is this ok, or should I remove them from my efi/clover/kexts/other? Rebooted...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

OK I will put this fakeSMC in nvme efi/clover/kexts/other correct? https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/fakesmc.325/ Any thoughts on the kextcache output I posted? Is this an error or normal output?

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

My bad, I did the copy right, just typed it here wrong. It is indeed in clover/kexts/other. I guess I didn't install any FakeSMC.kext. On my nvme efi there is no FakeSMC in efi/clover/kexts/other nor is there in /s/l/e or /l/e. Not sure if I do need a FakeSMC.kext or not. If so, should it be...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

Ok, I've tried a fresh installation. I made sure to follow the guide to the letter. - Created the SSDT-NVMe-Pcc.aml on my macbook pro and copied it to usb installer clover/acpi/patched (attached) - Created the HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext on my MacBook Pro (running 10.12.3) and copied it to...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

Attached is a new zip of my clover, as it is right now. And a photo of verbose when I try to boot without USB inserted. What I did: download folder from: https://github.com/RehabMan/patch-nvme (checked if it has correct name in /downloads) Made a copy Run these commands: cd...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

After my previous post I put the HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other Updated my SSDT-NVMe-Pcc.aml in nvme clover/acpi/patched with the code from my last post I'm assuming kext wizard installed the HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext correctly to /s/l/e. When creating the spoof I got...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

Ok.. well I think im getting tired.. Been doing "this" literally the whole day. And im loosing focus. I inserted USB, in clover pressed space and selected boot verbose and inject kexts, return, selected the nvme disk and it booted in Sierra. Attached is my efi/clover. I couldn't take photo of...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

Ah your right, that was just a bad copy/paste action. The correct path is: _SB.PCI0.RP13.PXSX. This one I also used, just copyd wrong code in the post above. Trying to boot now from USB > force inject kexts, but that isn't working..

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

I couldn't do that, because I couldn't get into Sierra to copy the EFI/clover.. Just did a fresh install again. Could my mistake be that im using: // Inject bogus class-code for NVMe SSD to prevent IONVMeFamily.kext from loading DefinitionBlock("", "SSDT", 2, "hack", "NVMe-Pcc", 0) {...

OS X Driver for NVMe M.2 Solid State Drives Released

Ok, so I've reinstalled Sierra on the NVMe drive. Multibeast > Bootloaders > Clover UEFI mode Mounted NVMe EFI via clover configurator Pasted SSDT-NVMe-Pcc in the NVMe EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched Opened nvme EFI config plist in clover configurator ACPI > DSDT patches: Comment: Change all _DSM to...
