When dealing with the "black screen issue" and booting on the iGPU, after macOS is fully loaded, will be switched to the dGPU automatically?

With newer AMD graphics cards, the screen goes black while booting, but everything works just fine after macOS is fully loaded? Even when the iGPU is disabled?

Interesting. Because the other way around seems to work just fine. RX 480 in a Mac Pro from 2010.

Why would it not work when you let macOS think it's dealing with a Pro 460 by spoofing the device ID of the WX 4100? That's what you did, right?

Are all Kepler/Maxwell cards supported by these drivers? Also the Quadro's? Or just the GeForce cards? Or not even all Kepler/Maxwell GeForce cards, but a privileged subset?

So, Apple is stripping Maxwell-support out of the code they get from nVidia, but meanwhile they approve of nVidia drivers (which unofficially include support for Maxwell) for macOS? That's interesting. LoL :lol:

Nice :) But, Apple didn't sell any product with a Maxwell GPU. So, why did nVidia create the kext? And why didn't they put Maxwell GPUs among the official supported products?

How can Maxwell GPUs be supported by the nVidia drivers? Since the official supported products only include Kepler GPUs and earlier: GeForce GTX 680 GeForce GTX 285 GeForce GT 120 GeForce 8800 GT Quadro K5000 for Mac, Quadro 4000 for Mac Quadro FX 4800, Quadro FX 560 How long is nVidia likely...
