    Intel Nuc 2.0 (Broadwell)

Just checking in to update on my success. Been running El Capitan for a couple of weeks now and it's perfect. I use a bluetooth usb adapter for my speakers, mouse and keyboard. I use LAN for internet. I've been installing the official updates without any problem. On Yosemite I had this...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Intel Broadwell NUC

I followed this guide to upgrade my i7 NUC from Yosemite to El Capitan. I couldn't get it to boot and then finally after adding FakeSMC to Clover, it booted. In the instructions it says 'Unzip if needed' so I assumed I didn't need it. Anyway all is good now and the app store works unlike...

    Intel Nuc 2.0 (Broadwell)

I'm not sure to be honest. It's stopped doing it now. Very strange. I've attached a screenshot of the intel power gadget during an export of a 1080 video in Final Cut Pro (3 minutes 40 seconds long). Quite a few overlays and a few effects. Not super heavy but there's a bit of work there...

    Intel Nuc 2.0 (Broadwell)

I didn't notice any difference to be honest.. Edit: Spoke too soon. Last week it was working fine and today I'm having a lot of problems. The screen flashes and then turns off, sometimes putting me on a login screen. The system randomly goes slow where the mouse movements will freeze every...

    Intel Nuc 2.0 (Broadwell)

Thanks for the reply :) I guess I must have used the SSDT from this thread. I replaced SSDT and SSDT-1 with the ones you provided. But it still says i5 when I check my system overview. Have attached the output from IORegExp :) I also noticed that when scrolling with a ouse it jumps up...

    Intel Nuc 2.0 (Broadwell)

Phew, I spent many many many hours yesterday trying to get my i7 NUC running Yosemite. After reading through to page 19 of this thread, success! Thanks :D I'm curious though... With the BIOS settings for the video memory, are we getting less 'video card' performance? So it would make...

Retina display options for external monitor?

Yeah I know about cmd+ and default zooms and such like. But as I said in my first post, it's a really hacky solution and doesn't help with things like window title bars and such like. The new macbook pros are running Lion right? And they've got special display options because of this exact...

Retina display options for external monitor?

I'm using a dual thingymajig DVI cable. The text is readable, but you have to squint because everything is so tiny, that's what i was getting at. I don't mean unreadable like when you use a regular DVI cable and everything is all screwy. Cheers

Retina display options for external monitor?

I was wondering how the new Macbook pros could be of any use at those super high resolutions when my current 2560x1440 monitor (Dell U2711) produces an unusable experience. The text is far too small and you have to squint to see anything on the screen. I know I can set a default zoom in Chrome...
