    GIGABYTE z490 master is compatible?

Oh damn... sorry, i don't know why but i'm not getting the email notifications anymore (and i checked in my prefs...). There isn't much need in me posting my EFI when you can simply get the one from this thread...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

@Tomate229 Sure, i'll send you a PM later with it (i'm my work computer and i'll need to change the serial numbers), but it's is exactly SmockLords's EFI plus the small edit or unchecking those two checkboxes in opencore configuratior. I also manually created my USBMap, but it's a bit odd as...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

BTW, there is a small addition that I don't see very often in guides. I've had trouble with two Z390 and this Z490 board with pro USB sound cards on Catalina (and a bit less on Mojave) like Focusrite and MOTU that were just cutting the sound on and off randomly every few seconds. This was fixed...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Thanks for your answer, i will indeed test the EFI on a USB dongle first, but my question was more about what i need to change in my config.plist after having unlocked MSR, but i guess i found the answer reading this thread. Should just deactivate the APpleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcpmCfgLowk...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ I know this is a thread for the vision D, but i have been successfully using the Z490 Gaming X for over a week. But I see that you have MSR unlocked and i probably should unlock it on my rig as well. May i just ask you what patch in your EFI (or where in the config.plist) requires it? I...

    GIGABYTE z490 master is compatible?

I don't know about this one, but the Z490 Gaming X works fine, not with UniBeast/MultiBeast though, you'll need to use OpenCore. (Clover does not work. Yes, as far as I know.) An EFI folder which is actually pretty easy. Oh, and the Intel Ethernet works as well, everything does, and it's smoking...

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Perfect, thanks resetting that worked, it's no longer there. I can confirm that going back to BIOS F7 (I was in f9g as advised on this topic) and disabling the serial port makes my USB audio dropouts disappear on my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 card, and this is on both Mojave and Catalina. The...

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Oh, ok, that makes sense. I was able to downgrade the bios and to deactivate the serial port, but the serial port still shows up in the list of network. After this i'm still getting the audio cuts when i unplug or plug an USB device. I'll just install a fresh Mojave to see if i get the same...

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Ok yes, a USB 3 device works, is that normal? shouldn't USB 2 devices work as well?

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

From what i read, the problem with audio cards i have can be fixed with serial port disabled in bios, but the bios F9g does not have this option anymore... So i'll try to revert back to bios F7 and see if that fixes the issue for me. I see that some SSDT edits can disable it as well, but...

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Ok i'll give it a try. Yes i have seen that as well, and it seems to be related to the latest macs and some audio cards and it happens since high sierra but here the problem is different as it seems to not only drop the audio, but other devices plugged in, it happens everytime i plug in and out...

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Hi guys, I now have the same motherboard and followed the guide and EFI folder to make it working and it looks like everything works just fine using @pastrychef 's EFI folder for clover. I used to have the Z390 Gaming X that was giving me a lot of trouble and ended up having a faulty ram slot...

    Gigabyte Z390 GAMING X, i5 8600K, sapphire RX580 10.5.4 installer not booting

Ok i'll try that, thanks. In the meantime i realized that osx only saw 16Gb of ram on my system, and it turns out in the bios as well... I moved ram sticks around and there is one slot that just does not work... Since i just received it, i'll just get a refund and get the M Gaming instead. This...

    Gigabyte Z390 GAMING X, i5 8600K, sapphire RX580 10.5.4 installer not booting

This is what i wanted to try, but they don't appear in the list in clover 5.12 (latest version that i just downloaded)... I have the same list that i attached in my previous message on both my mac pro and on the hackintosh... And i don't understand why...
