The Clover + createmedia boots fine, but when we try to boot from HDD it returns the following error:

Well we followed the legacy guide and now we just get boot0ss: error and nothing else.

This laptop's motherboard doesn't have a UEFI. Is there a Clover for non UEFI motheboards?

We're using Clover now as described in your guide, but my laptop won't boot Clover partition. When we use diskutil on the drive the partition is described as a DOS_FAT_32 instead of a EFI partition is this normal?

That was my problem I didn't have any active partitions!

YES!!!!!, GOT IT !!!! I just had to set my OSX partition as active with fdisk and VOILA!!!! Thank you SOOO much!

Great thanks that worked, although it still doesn't boot on its own :( But I think I know why. While converting from GPT to MBR gdisk created a new partition with partition type 0xEF (google says its the EFI partition) Should I mount this partition and install chimera/clover on it ?

It still fails to boot :( Should I use ubuntu gdisk to convert drive to a MBR partition scheme? if so should I follow this guide? Thanks!

Indeed, but if you look at the bottom you can see that it says 'HDD/SSD Hitachi is failed' I just checked and it seems that it isn't a 4K/AF drive (The sector size is 512 on the drive) Thanks
