    nothing. it's detecting the port but it can't connect to the modem for some reason.

    sorry i was gone for a bit, spending time with some family. and i don't thing resetting the chip would do anything because the port is detected, and it is active, it just can't connect to the modem when plugged in but i'll look into it, thanks for all the help you've given me so far, with this...

    lol xD it's strange, i think it may be connecting to the internet, and then disconnecting and reconnecting quickly but long enough to disturb any download what's even stranger is the download speed. on the computer i'm using now the download speed is generally 2-5 MBps the hackintosh got 24MBps...

    now there's a new issue. the computer i'm using gets around 4 MBps download speed. on the hackintosh it starts off that fast and then decreases rapidly until it's less than 1 KB per second where it will stay until you request a new download and that only repeats the process.

    i tried it with that before i bought and installed the chip, would that make a difference? also i admit to making a mistake the first time i worked with multibeast and i installed all the network drivers even though it only said to install one, however i later reinstalled it with only that one...
