hey @pastrychef have you tried using a iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS on this build? seen some reports that HEVC encodes are quicker by disabling iGPU and using dGPU only (Vega 56) in FCPX. Unsure if you have tested or your thoughts on disabling iGPU?

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

hey @pastrychef, the vega56 arrived and works as expected. Changed to iMac18,3. However, the UHD630 has disappeared from the Graphics/Display tab in System Report. I don't have anything connected to it, have enabled multi monitor support in bios and have PEG selected as primary display device...

Hey @pastrychef thanks so much for your guide! I have a 8700k with a MSI Z370 Gaming M5 and your explanations have helped me immensely. I had graphical glitches initially trying to use the UHD630 (I didn't have discrete graphics), then I saw the bit in your first post about using iMac18,1 if...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

My issue is when I first boot up, the internet speed is fast and snappy. Shortly after (1-2 minutes) it goes to a crawl and webpages fail to load. I'm on a 100Mb connection and the same webpage on my MacBook Pro loads instantly. I've resorted to using a USB-C to GbE adapter for time being which...

    New Intel NUC NUC8i7BEH compatibily

If anyone has Mojave 10.4.2 working on a NUC8i5BEK could they please upload their CLOVER directory? I've tried following Rehabman's guide including post install steps but I just get a reboot loop. When I boot using the install USB it works but with no accelerated graphics. I'm on a fresh install...
