I can confirm that method #2 (as indicated in the link post) works with a Sapphire HD5450 512MB. I couldn't get method #1 to work. I didn't try method #3.

I had to edit graphics kext. I use a USB sound card since I could never get audio sounding good in SL 10.6.8 or Lion 10.7.2 with VooDooHDA, and it works fine in Lion 10.7.3.

Well, I finally got this card working with Lion:

1. Install Lion with UniBeast
2. Reboot with UniBeast
3. Run MultiBeast (including Kext Utility)
4. Reboot into Lion (without UniBeast)

I got my Zotac GeForce 8400 GS, 512MB 64 Bit DDR3 (ZT-84GEM2M-HSL) with Snow Leopard 10.6.8 working. I used the Mac OS X driver linked in the initial post. It installed without a problem. I cannot, however, get it working with Lion.

I have a similar problem with my build. I could get sound to work with the VoodooHDA, but it was muffled and just not acceptable. So, I bought this:
