Re: Mouse not recognised after mulitbeast 330 execution
Flattened the partition and re-installed from scratch. Seems multibeast install broke it. Also found that iBoot and iBoot legacy panicked the OSX boot.
Got it all working by booting with Empire EFI. No problems. I guess that multiboot...
Installed multiboot 330 and selected the options as per the install guide. also 10.6.7 combo update. Rebooted. Got kernel panic. The retried. Booted fine except that the serial mouse is no longer recognised.
Help please.
So I used gdisk to set the disk to GPT. It preserved the existing partitions. Good so far.
Then tried Disk Utility in OSX install to format the OSX 100GB FAT32 partition I had created earlier. Failed with error: Could not modify partition map.
Checking the volume scheme I get: The disk appears...

Yep. I'll google around. Presumably it's really a GUI for a boot sector command line editor to change the partition type code??
Thanks - I'll give it a try but fear that the whole drive must be GUID partitioned for OSX to install. Oh well. just have to re-install Win7, Ubuntu Maverick...

I have an existing Win7 and Ubuntu Maverick setup working well. I created a 100GB partition on the HDD by shrinking back the Win7 partition. Then formatted to Fat32. All fine so far.
