Hi Ed, Eliminating Chrome solved the problem for me. I'll probably re-investigate whether a future release/update of Chrome helps things, but for now, I'm getting by with Safari. -S

Here's another update: I reinstalled Chrome (deleting everything I could find in ~/Library related to Chrome, too) and still had the problem when I hit a website that required flash. Using Safari, flash works fine, so it does appear to be specific to the flash plugin/addon in Chrome that borks...
