Eliminating Chrome solved the problem for me. I'll probably re-investigate whether a future release/update of Chrome helps things, but for now, I'm getting by with Safari.

Here's another update: I reinstalled Chrome (deleting everything I could find in ~/Library related to Chrome, too) and still had the problem when I hit a website that required flash.
Using Safari, flash works fine, so it does appear to be specific to the flash plugin/addon in Chrome that borks...
I'm certain that everything is up to date. Software update doesn't show any updates for Safari (or anything else).
Before getting to try to uninstall Chrome tonight, I noticed that nothing I was doing was able to tickle the problem. I was able to successfully do everything. Once I re-enabled...
I can try removing Chrome, but I'm not very hopeful. The problem occurs with Safari as well, and many other applications. I can't remove everything... :)
I'll have to give it a go when I get home later tonight.

I'm having a super annoying problem that started cropping up yesterday morning when I turned my system on first thing in the morning. Basically, I'm seeing the system freeze up, showing me the spinning beach ball/pizza of death :beachball: . I'm not 100% sure of the triggers for it...
I was running into a similar problem today with enabling the "64-bit Apple Boot Screen" in MultiBeast. I eventually found a reference to enabling the "Use KernelCache" option along with "64-bit Apple Boot Screen" option.
Once I did that, I'm botting into a fully 64-bit kernel successfully...
OK, it looks like scouring the site today while I was "working" helped me out somehow. I tried enabling only the "ALC8xxHDA" and "AppleHDA Rollback" options for Audio, and things are working perfectly now. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that I just don't have any understanding of why...
