Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

And to get it to run full speed without power management... sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext/ /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.disable Then run Kext Utility, then reboot. I now get a whole 1 FPS faster.. lol. :P

Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

Thanks. I only avoided them because I read I needed to with a GTX. And if you read my post earlier, I already mentioned I added it to my config.plist. It worked to get my card detected correctly, but not to keep the GUI from saying the OS's default driver is being used. <key>Boot</key>...

Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

I think you're right. I was reading that it might just be cosmetic, but that the driver's still actually being used. I remember having the same issue with the Nvidia PowerMizer in Linux. Even though you set it to disable power saving, it still showed that power saving mode was selected. As for...

Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

Scratch that. As soon as I reboot, it reverts back to the default driver.

Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

    Thanks alcanfane. I tried that earlier. Turns out I needed to use nvda_drv=1. It's working fine now. <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>Arguments</key> <string>dart=0 nvda_drv=1</string> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>DefaultVolume</key>

Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

I just edited my config.plist to disable all graphics key injections, but all that did was make the boot text and menu bar icons a little smaller. It's still loading the default driver though. <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key>...

Install went fine, but Nvidia Web Driver won't load

I just did a clean install of El Capitan on a Asus P5G41T-M LX Plus w/ Core2Duo, and GeForce GTX 660. The same build that the web drivers and CUDA were working in Yosemite with. I then downloaded WebDriver-346.03.02f01.pkg, and cudadriver-7.5.20-macos.dmg. Both being the latest for El Capitan...

3.16GHz cpu is being read as 4.3GHz in Yosemite.

Wasn't sure where to post this, as it's not an install issue, and more of a post install issue. System: Asus P5G41t-M LX Plus Core2Duo E8500 3.16GHz KVR1333D3N9/4G Geforce GTX 660 (running at pcie1.x speeds) 120GB Kingston SSDNow V300 3 other Sata2 drives for storage LG BluRay burner System...

Asus P5G41T-M LX Mac OS X Yosemite MultiBeast

After doing some more searching and reading, I wound up modifying the VoodooHDA 2.8.4 that came with the latest Multibeast, inserting my ALC887's pinout in the NodesToPatch section of the Info.plist. At first I tried inserting my device and vendor id string, but that would just result in no...

Asus P5G41T-M LX Mac OS X Yosemite MultiBeast

Tested every VoodooHDA kext again, and 2.7.3 works.. but with a lot of static. It seems to be connected to the mic jack, as lowering the mic's level reduces the hiss in the speakers.. even though no mic was plugged in. I did find a hackaround though.. usb audio still works. :P I had an old usb...

Asus P5G41T-M LX Mac OS X Yosemite MultiBeast

I found how to delete kexts while in desktop, using kextstat and kextunload, then manually deleting the kext file from the /System/Library/Extensions/ directory. I was worried I had all these lingering drivers messing things up. $ kextstat | grep -v com.apple Index Refs Address Size...

Asus P5G41T-M LX Mac OS X Yosemite MultiBeast

This is starting to drive me nuts. P5G41T-M LX Plus Core2Duo 3.16GHz 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Geforce GTX 660 Kinston 120GB SSD I installed everything recommended, except the desktop hibernation, and I added the TRIM support for my SSD. The only thing else was to do a permissions repair before...
