Glad it's worked out for you.
I think it's safe to say any one who is still having significant issues with clover.
I'm Just amazed at how helpful your comment is!
Clover certainly does something nasty to the bios.
I have removed everything, down to barebones cpu-mem-onboard
As you do when your fault finding. I then hard reset the bios
by the usual battery removal etc...
No hard drives attached yet there it is bios is showing 4 partitions
even though...
MultiBeast 8.0 for OS X El Capitan - Status Report
Until someone can figure out how to reliably boot El Capitan with Clover it's a no go!
default recommended Clover config and options where what was used fine for 2 weeks
no changes what so ever to any thing at first I though this is pretty...
MultiBeast 8.0 for OS X El Capitan - Status Report
Oh I will just reiterate I do really appreciate all the hard work done with Chameleon.
Suggesting clover as the way to go though was a terrible decision until its had some
serious revision done to it!.
I know it's easy to get used to...
MultiBeast 8.0 for OS X El Capitan - Status Report
Yup That's where I was. It just worked for a year & a half! had to tinker to get the odd update working but nothing major.
Now I am going to have to reflash or reset the bios to start from scratch with Yosemite/Chameleon.
If I didn't have a...
Well up until a few day's ago I would of chimed in with the herd and congratulated
on how great clover is.
Until it started messing up all of sudden.
Trying to fix problems in Clover is the most counter-intuitive experience I have had yet
in my 3 years working with hackingtosh computers.
I...
I can't get my SMBIOS edits/Themes etc. to store to the config file either and I am pretty damn sure I have followed all the advice given exactly multiple times.
It's actually quite annoying because I have 1866mhz Ram stuck at a paltry 1330mhz, My system profile is not right for my machine...
I was of that opinion for a while stuck to mavericks first update for 8 months.
Then I realised that I could install OS X on to a large enough 32gb usb stick.
Now I test through each update and get it all working sweetly before a update go's anywhere
near my main drives.
This update has...
IF I worked for apple I would of made something unique that is actually game changing about
ooo say 4 years ago.
I would of made a 15" Touch screen that can be used as an I Mac - IPAd Pro - Mac Book Pro etc etc etc.
Of course I am not concerned with making stupid amounts of money
Only 1 thing bothers me about the new mac book.
$1299 for an iPad with keys.
See charlie brokers - Screen wipe for some sane opinions on apples recent disgusting profit amount.
THIS IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF CON FROM APPLE YET
But please don't let me stop you, your money folks! hahahahahaha
AHHA!
The problem is that now with 10.10.2
AppleTyMCEDriver.kext
No longer causes a kernel panic it sit's there sneakily in the background causing
system freezes always's used to remember to get rid of this guy lol!.
Deleted on mac pro 6,1 back to perfect stability
Hope this helps others
Been using Mac 6,1 profile for 6 months on all the mavericks updates
And all the Yosemite updates until now zero issues
Installed update 10.10.2
Computer boots up normally runs for 2-5 minutes before it freezes.
I have deduced the problem is not system definitions but a new kext or change...
Ok the install guide say's clearly you will need to reinstall the audio kext or do
what I do and use an external interface.
In terms of freezing try using the latest multi beast update 7.2 for 10.10.2
What I do when an update gives me issues is go back to the previous working
update and...
Just a thought but I may try running the wifi card with a pci to pcie adapter as long as that works im sorted.
That leaves my 4x pcie free for the FW800 business.
