[First Hackintosh]: Stuck at apple logo MacOs Sierra

You can download an installer at https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ It will ask you which drive you want to install it on. Make sure you install it on the USB boot drive after you create it with Unibeast, and install it on your hard drive after you install Sierra and run...

Kernel panic after successful Sierra install

I'm starting to put together a theory on what might have happened. After I successfully installed Sierra, one of the things I did was to open the Migration Assistant and restore the old documents from my boot drive's Time Machine backup. Is it possible that that process restored a bunch of old...

[First Hackintosh]: Stuck at apple logo MacOs Sierra

Are you using the latest version of Clover? Note that Unibeast/Multibeast do not have the latest version of Clover in them. Therefore, after you create the USB boot drive with Unibeast, you should download the latest version of Clover from Sourceforge and install it on the USB boot drive...

Kernel panic after successful Sierra install

I recently installed Sierra successfully, was able to boot from my SSD, run Multibeast, install the latest Clover (which I believe was build 4049), reboot, and boot successfully with all of that. I thought I was out of the woods at that point. I went about my business of reinstalling...

I can only boot into the OS X installation partition. Is there a way to download and install Clover on the SSD via Terminal or something?

[SOLVED] Infinite spinning beach ball on gray screen

Crap. All of a sudden, my USB drive no longer showed up as an option to boot from in BIOS. I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to get it back. When I changed ports around (swapped the USB port that my keyboard was using with the USB drive) then my USB keyboard stopped working. This...

[SOLVED] Infinite spinning beach ball on gray screen

Thanks again for continuing to help. Safe mode definitely doesn't work, I get the same OsxAptioFix2Drv/kernel cache error. I can try to use OsxAptioFixDrv instead later tonight. When you say that MultiBeast may not have the latest Clover, do you mean I need to download the latest Clover from...

[solved] Clover Update failed for preparation to 10.12.4 Update

Did you use the latest UniBeast 7.1.1 when you created the USB boot drive? That new version was released just a few days ago.

[SOLVED] Infinite spinning beach ball on gray screen

Ok, I borrowed a friend's newer Macbook Pro, re-downloaded Sierra, used UniBeast 7.1.1 to create a new USB drive, and did another clean install of Sierra on my SSD. I got much further along in the process now. I was able to boot the SSD using Clover on the USB, get through the OS X setup...

[SOLVED] Infinite spinning beach ball on gray screen

I thought about trying that when I saw the update come out. However, the only other Mac I have is an old Macbook Pro (early 2008). When I try to download the Sierra installer from the App Store, it won't let me because the computer is too old and not compatible with Sierra. Is there any harm...

[SOLVED] Infinite spinning beach ball on gray screen

Here's what I've done so far: - Created bootable USB drive with Unibeast and macOS 10.12.4 - Installed latest version of Clover on it (version 2.4k rev 4035) - Booted from USB drive - Completely erased SSD and did a clean install of 10.12.4 on it - Rebooted after successful installation, tried...

Fast kernel panic after Sierra update

Yup, it's UEFI. Nvidia card is reinstalled now. Just can't get past that spinning beach ball screen. I've let it sit for at least 30 minutes and it never goes past that screen.

Fast kernel panic after Sierra update

What is making you think this is a graphics card problem? I get the same result regardless of whether I use the integrated Intel HD 4600 or the Nvidia GTX760...
