Quick update: I had the idea of resizing the HDD partition so I could do a fresh installation without loosing any information. Guess where I'm typing this message from...
Thank you ver much @neilheart for your advice and patience. I really appreciate it.
Hey guys, I have upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan and it just won't boot at all. I've tried a couple of things (boot without cache, triple checked BIOS settings, etc) and nothing seems to work. My system is:
GA-H77N-WIFI
3570K - HD4000 graphics
8GB RAM (2x 4GB)
Here are a couple of...
Does anyone know if the Logitech cameras listed in the wiki work OOB including microphone? I'm not looking for a great camera, just a very affordable one like the c270.
I do have a question for you guys that is slightly OT.

I know it's kinda unusual to quote oneself, but this might be relevant.

Solution #1 worked for me, but it apparently made the ethernet ports on my GA-h77n wifi useless. I was never able to connect via LAN to the internet so I had to do a complete system re installation. Any ideas if these issues could be related? I'm afraid that if I try again, I will experience the...
Could you post which keyborad shortcuts are working for you? I have the same issue with the touchpad and I was not able to run Disc Utility to format the HDD.
Thanks!
I experienced the same thing on a core i3 350m cpu. It happened every time I used the iBoot nVidia disc.
Try iBoot ATI using the busratio=xx (varies with each processor) before booting the MAC OS X. That did the trick for me.
Also the -x booting option for safe mode might be an option. Try it...
Update: for some reason, using iBoot nVidia with -v -x and busratio=17 works and gets me to the installation screen. The big problem here is that the touchpad is not working. It's an Elantech and I remember reading some thread discussing about it, but I think there is still no fix. Guess I'll...
Woops :$ Sorry about that.
Edit: Oh, and BTW, I'm trying the installation without first erasing or destroying the current partitions on my HDD. I'm doing this assuming the Disc Utility will allow me to erase all previous data and start from scratch. It my assumption wrong?
