My original problem exists as well. I am (temporarily, hopefully) getting around it by booting from a Uni USB and using a USB sound card, but obviously that's not the preferred method.
I just tried running multibeast 7.0.1, in the hopes that it would work better, but no such luck. Any hints at all? Anyone?

I found the missing mach_kernel problem was related to the boot.plist being left behind by Unibeast 5.0. That problem has been fixed in Unibeast 5.0.1, or you can manually fix it by removing the "kernel" reference in the .plist file in /Extras.

FWIW, I just used the standalone Chameleon installer, which worked fine. I then manually selected the various customization options from the DSDT-free quick install and ran it, and those installed OK (and took effect).

So, I just did a clean install of yosemite. Works fine booting from the installer USB, but when I try to run multibeast, it fails to install. I must be insane, because I've done this three times and the issue persists.
