Finally some one with a similar problem! Here is my thread. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22040&p=142184#p142184 I hope some one here can get to the bottom of this. I have been working on it for 3+weeks now lol. The HDD im using has been formated by an mac pro and still it hangs in the Install menu.

I had a friend format my Hard drive on a mac pro, this way I dont have to partition the disk. So now it it hangs at the, about a minute, mark. Clearly the the computer does not want to write on the disk. Anyone have a solution for this.

Didint work. It went from Unmounted to Formatting disk0s2 as Mac OS Extended Journaled) with name Snow Leopard in like half a sec but then the loading bar went half way and just stayed there. Well now I know its not the HDD.
